Today’s one of the BUSY days, O you wretched Mondays, but I finally caught a break & ran straight to you, dear Internets. <3
Last night I logged on just in time to get pulled into a guild Mag run, which went quite smoothly despite having extremely inexperienced cube-clickers. I was top on healing charts (natch! lol j/k)! I also cracked another one of my awesome jokes while we were waiting for the pull… it fell kind of flat, I think it needs some fine-tuning. Check it:
“Why does Lady Vashj wear seashells?”
“Because B shells are too small & D shells are too big.”
….Yes yes I’m sorry, I can’t help myself. Luckily my guild is quite indulgently tolerant of me, Mr. Moderate even uses me like a weapon sometimes (“Sign up for Wednesday’s raid or she’ll keep telling jokes!“). To punnish people, one might say, if one were inclined to say very corny things, which I most certainly am not.
ANYWAY! I’m happy to have my first comment, though it makes me feel a bit exposed because wow! someone actually took a look at this blog! hehe I wasn’t expecting that… kinda like walking around naked in your house only to find that your window was open & you were hanging it all out there… Go away! Don’t look! J/k j/k, Welcome! Look your fill! Thanks for checking me out! :D I’m proud of my body blog! Proud of my blog!
About The Problem With Snot, ahhh…. It’s a delicate situation, as most guild-tension-dramas seem to be. I did once speak to a guild leader about him, the day after a miserable Kara run where Snot completely blew up at a healer who not only didn’t do anything wrong but also happens to be a 50-year-old grandfather in real life and certainly does not need to be cursed at and called retarded in front of other people by a mean-spirited teenager like Snot. It wasn’t the healer’s fault we wiped a bunch of times; the fact was our group make-up was just poorly planned… 2 druid healers + ineffective main tank + group that just did not mesh well together and Snot constantly droning in our ears like the voice of Grim Bleak Despair.
I can see that I could have been the one to sit down and talk with him to change his behavior with us, but frankly at that point I bore a deep, deep aversion to him. Although I do hate bringing problems to guild leaders & giving them more stress on top of all their other responsibilities, it never crossed my mind that I could bear initiating a conversation with him myself. So anyway, the night after Snot’s incredibly disrespectful rant at our older healer, it all came out & I noted my grievances to Talky, who expressed shock and outrage… and nothing happened. Turns out Snot is an old original member & a good friend of Snuffles, etc., just one of those old-time connection things that offensive behavior can’t damage. I’m a relatively new member myself, as are most of the people Snot’s offended… it’s not that we don’t matter, but I understand the guild leaders are caught between a rock and a hard place & I wouldn’t dream of forcing the issue, and I’m guessing the others wouldn’t either. It’s a great guild, friendly & helpful & actively progressing, and we all like being here, particularly as Snot only logs on a couple of times a week. We’ll live.
I do take your advice to heart though, and next time I think I’ll be more ready to bite the bullet and have a private chat with him about not being such a freakin’ prick encouraging his teammates rather than accusing all the time, because he might depress some people. <:^) Oh man haha I’m getting depressed just imagining how the exchange will go… but you never know. Maybe my charm will prevail & he’ll become a wonderful new person & his name will be Sweetie instead of Snot…
Okay that was a nice long break. Back to work now. Ciao!
